Oi! Warning
Janosch runs away from home. Just turned 17, he leaves his girlfriend, Mama and the beautiful Lake of Constance, drives off to Koma in Dortmund. Koma is a labourer in a brewery, father-to-be, kickboxer and skinhead. Janosch is fascinated. He soon becomes one of Koma's admirers. It's not long before his hair is also shorter and he has a pretty girlfriend and a tattoo - just like Koma. And he can soon strike out like Koma as well. The only problem is that he picks the wrong one: a punk at the artificial lake. When Koma's second home, a disused stone mill, burns down shortly after, Koma is sure about one thing: that was the friends of the punk from the lake. Now Janosch has to swear revenge as well. But everything turns out differently: instead of going all out for revenge Janosch sleeps with the supposed culprit, with Koma a witness to the wild night of passion. Koma's revenge will now be quite different.
Benjamin Reding was born in Dortmund in 1969. He studied Archaeology at the Bochum University from 1988-90. At the Bochum Schauspielhaus he worked as an assistant director and directed children's plays. In 1992 he attended the Academy of Theater and Music in Stuttgart. After his diploma, he moved to Hamburg and co-directed the short films Acker, Leute, Goethe (short, 1995), Adrian's Monday (short, 1995), Dirt (short, 1996) and Taste The Sweat (short, 1997). Oi! Warning was his first long feature film.Dominik Reding was born in Dortmund in 1969. He studied Architecture at the university Aachen until 1992. He moved to Hamburg in 1993 and attended the Academy of the Fine Arts, Section: Visual Communication. His films include Acker, Leute, Goethe (short, 1995), Adrian's Monday (short, 1995), Dirt (short, 1996) and Taste The Sweat (short, 1997). His first long-feature film Oi! Warning won the award for the Best Debut Film at the Max-Ophuels-Festival 1999.
